Has worked in a similar capacity in an agency or company environment, has excellent communication skills, has a keen eye on the trends, and has emerging expert-level knowledge of the various technologies needed to achieve both internal and client goals.
To perform this job effectively, applicants should possess serious and demonstrable functional skills in the following areas:
- Experience building reliable, distributed, high transaction rate systems that work on multiple platforms
- Solid working experience in multiple languages such as: C++, C#, Java, VB.NET
- Developing and delivering commercial applications with ASP.NET 3.5 with all of the goodies: NHibernate, MVC, WCF, LINQ, Web Services (i.e. SOAP, REST)
- Understand and know how to write applications that make SQL Server actually work correctly when seriously loaded down
- You live to code and are proud of the intellectual property you create
- You are a self-starter that is comfortable working in new technology areas where documentation is non-existent and half the stuff does not work right, but you can find a way to make it work
What you'll be doing:

Handle customization of financial applications, data changes, and coding of enhancements to existing applications
- Build automated customized solutions to minimize repetitive support work
- Learn the systems and product development to transition into the development team
- Gather, document and communicate requirements and solution
- Lead architecture, design and implementation of the projects
- Ensure the quality of applications through formal testing and documentation
- Maintain the integrity of application source code and underlying data through the use of version control systems
- Exercise best practices, both across and within the discipline
- Facilitate exchange of ideas between developers
- Perform technical assessments and risk assessment
- You will be developing both in-house hosted (ASP.NET 3.5/4.0) and cloud-hosted (Azure, EC2, others)
- You will be responsible for coming up with architectures, web sites & services, SQL schemas & stored procedures, customer SDKs, portals for administration and reporting, and all of the pieces to make the project go.
